Terms of Service
Last updated 15 September 2026 · Working draft, pending legal review
These terms apply whenever you use Ravaaq — to browse, book, or host a stay. By creating an account or making a booking, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.
Your account
You sign in with your email address and a one-time code we send to it. Anyone who can read that inbox can sign in as you, so keep it secure. You can see where you’re signed in, and sign out other devices, from your profile.
- You must be at least 18 to book or host.
- The details on your account must be accurate and your own. Your name can’t include contact details or links.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
- You can delete your account from your profile at any time once your stays and payouts are settled.
Booking a stay
Before you pay, you are shown the full price: the stay itself, any cleaning fee set by the host, a 10% Ravaaq service fee, and 9% tax on the stay and service fee together.
A booking is confirmed once its payment has gone through. The property’s exact address and door details are shown only for a confirmed, paid stay, and are withdrawn if the stay is cancelled. You and your host can see each other’s phone number from 24 hours before check-in until check-out.
You can’t book your own listing, and a booking can be for up to 90 nights and up to a year ahead.
Hourly micro-stays
- Micro-stays can only be booked within the hours the host has opened, and between the host's minimum and maximum length.
- Your time runs from the start hour you booked, whether or not you arrive then.
- Leave by the end of your booked time, so the space is ready for the next guest.
Stay requests and offers
You can post a stay request describing where, when and your budget. Hosts whose listings are in that area can send you offers, and you can counter them.
- Negotiation happens inside the offer, on Ravaaq.
- You can have up to three stay requests open at a time.
- Once an offer is accepted, it is held for you for 10 minutes while you pay. If payment is not completed in that time, the offer lapses and the dates are released.
- An offer lapsing does not cancel your stay request; other offers can still be accepted.
Keeping bookings and payments on Ravaaq
Ravaaq can only protect a stay it knows about: your payment, your refund if a host cancels, and our help if something goes wrong. So:
- Don’t share phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles, links or bank details in offers, stay requests, messages, listings, profiles or reviews. We remove them automatically before anyone sees them.
- Don’t ask for, offer or accept payment outside Ravaaq, including cash, bank transfer, JazzCash or Easypaisa directly to a host, for a stay found on Ravaaq.
- Messaging is open from when a stay is paid until two weeks after check-out, for arranging that stay.
- We record attempts to share contact details or move a booking off Ravaaq. Repeated attempts can lead to your listings being taken down or your account being suspended.
Cancellations and refunds
Every listing shows one of three cancellation policies:
- Flexible — free cancellation until 2 hours before check-in.
- Moderate — free cancellation until 24 hours before check-in; 50% refund after that.
- Strict — non-refundable within 48 hours of check-in.
If a host cancels, or Ravaaq has to cancel a stay (for example after a listing is taken down), you are refunded in full. Refunds are returned to the payment method used for the booking.
Hosting
Hosts agree to describe their space accurately, keep their availability current, and honour the bookings they accept. New listings are reviewed before they go live, and changes to a live listing may be checked again.
For each booking, Ravaaq keeps a 12% platform fee from the stay subtotal and withholds 2% for tax. The cleaning fee and the remainder are paid to the host, from the day after check-out, once the host’s CNIC and payout bank account have been verified. One CNIC can verify one host account.
Cancelling a confirmed stay counts against a host’s record.
Reviews
- Guests can review a stay that went ahead, for 14 days after check-out.
- Reviews and host replies must be honest, about the stay, and free of contact details or abuse.
- Ravaaq can hide a review that breaks these rules. Hidden reviews don’t count towards ratings.
Using Ravaaq responsibly
- Follow the listing's house rules and treat the property with care.
- Don’t harass, mislead or discriminate against anyone.
- Don’t try to get around our security, copy data from Ravaaq at scale, or use someone else’s account.
- We may suspend an account that breaks these terms. A suspended account is signed out and its listings are paused; paid stays are handled individually.
Our role and liability
Ravaaq connects guests with hosts and processes payments between them. Hosts, not Ravaaq, provide the stays. To the extent the law allows, Ravaaq is not liable for losses arising from a stay, beyond refunding amounts due under the applicable cancellation policy.
Changes and governing law
We may update these terms. If a change affects you materially, we will ask you to accept the new terms the next time you use Ravaaq. These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan.
Questions about these terms are answered in the Help Centre.
